The leading city for capital expenditure in the Americas in the first half of 2018 was Cajamarca in Peru, attracting $2.5bn. Mexico City was second with $1.6bn.

Vancouver and Toronto were neck and neck, with both Canadian cities seeing $1.3bn in capex.

Buenos Aires, Argentina’s capital, saw $1.2bn in capex in H1, 2018.
